We all know that today everyone want information on a move and want his document available anywhere, everywhere he needs. We carry our laptop, however, some of presentation or document are still stored on a different computer and cannot be opened on line. Still we need access to those documents.
If you have been intouch with the Microsoft launch of Skydrive, a virtual place where you can store your document, presentation and access anywhere in the world. However, we had issue where you need to have the respective software installed on the computer that you are using to access the documents.
Live Mesh, SugarSync, Dropbox, where the data is stored virtually and can be accessed any where. The Google drive is called G-Drive. Again this also is virtual drive, where you can store more application that you can think of storing them in other drives. Google drive will have an added advantage over the other virtual drives in the market.
All the Google Application will be available in G-Drive account for the user. This means completely eliminating the desktop computer and no hard drive or memory needed. G-Drive will make it possible to access and update information like e-mails, photographs, music, documents and many other documents, this can be connected to any device which is Internet enabled.
In the market,we have many virtual hard drive or storage place, the most protect and used are Live Mesh, SugarSync, Dropbox.
Advantage of G-Drive:
1) Can be access anywhere and everywhere
2) Most of Google Application are available at one click.
3) Just need a device which is internet enabled to access and open application.
Disadvantage of G-Drive:
Can we trust Google with sharing our personal and important data.
Novel system is being described as cloud computing wherein the web rather than the hard drive is replaced.
Keep a watch on the official launch of G-Drive. There is no information yet out from Google.
